GhostCase Guide

Secure. Invisible. Universal.
Create self-extracting encrypted archives that work anywhere.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1
Prepare Your Files

Drag and drop the files or folders you wish to encrypt. GhostCase processes your data directly in your browser using advanced web technologies. Your files never leave your device and are never uploaded to the internet during this process.

💡 Pro Tip: For files larger than 1GB, we recommend using Chrome, Edge, or Opera for optimal performance and stability.

2
Configure Security & Access

Set a strong access key of at least 8 characters. You can also add Smart Locks for additional protection, but please note that these features require an active internet connection to verify the state with our secure server:

  • Time Lock (Delay): Prevents the file from being opened until a specific duration has passed. (Requires Internet)
  • Self-Destruct (Destruct): Renders the file's content permanently inaccessible after a set period. (Requires Internet)
  • One-Time View (Burn): The file automatically destroys its access ticket after it has been opened successfully once. (Requires Internet)
3
Create Your Ghost Vault

Click the "Create GhostCase" button. In seconds, you will receive a single standalone HTML file. This file is a portable vault containing both your encrypted data and the decryption engine required to open it.

4
Unlock and Access Anywhere

Send the generated file via any method (USB, Email, Cloud). The recipient does not need internet access to open a standard encrypted file, nor do they need any special software—only a web browser and the password you provided.

Pro Tip: Standard encryption works 100% offline. However, if you enabled any Smart Locks, the recipient must be online for the initial verification handshake.
